Offline Smart QC (QC)

I. What is Smart QC

The Offline Quality Check is also referred to as Smart QC (QC). After the Dropshipping (DS) packages are delivered to the sorting center (namely Seko warehouse) in China, the packages are sampled and inspected at the warehouse.

Jumia attaches great importance to quality. Smart QC aims to help sellers reduce Quality Return Rate (QRR), create high quality best-selling goods, and ensure the reputation of Jumia and the shops for continuous sales growth.

II. What does Smart QC Check

Specific rules

Please carefully read JG Smart QC Guideline for detailed QC rules of each product category. Click the link to view.

Routine inspection

  1. Packaging (parcel packaging, product packaging);
  2. Product quality (brand, color, quantity, size, material, accessories, counterfeit, etc.);
  3. SKU description (item information description such as title, main image, size list, etc.);
  4. Privacy information (whether the seller's personal information or other platform access is disclosed).

III. Smart QC Interception and Corresponding Solutions

1. Missing items

  • Less items delivered due to misoperation: The seller sends a new package and ensures that it contains all items. The seller contacts SEKO to retrieve the packages previously intercepted by QC.
  • A SKU is not delivered due to OOS: After the seller cancels the SKU as out of stock (OOS), the seller can apply for shipping of other items via RAC

2. Wrong color

  • Deliver the item with correct color. Case 1
  • Do not overrender pictures to avoid QC interception due to color difference. Case 2

3. Wrong goods

  • Different goods: Please deliver the goods that are same as those shown on the page: Case 3
  • Position of camera holes differ from that shown on the first page: Case 4
    1. Use the picture with the correct hole position on the first page;
    2. If the hole position shown in the picture is different from that of the item, label the item with the title same as that shown on the page: Case 5

4. The quantity or size of the items delivered is less or smaller than that shown on the page

  • Picture indicates more items: The first picture should indicate the least amount of the item to be delivered. Case 6, Case 7, Case 8 and Case 9
  • There are reference items in the first picture: Please indicate in the title that only XXX item/no XXX item. Case 10 and Case 11

5. Wrong item

6. Size

  • Wrong size: The size of the item delivered should be the same as that selected by the buyer. Case 13
  • Handwriting size is not acceptable: Please use sticker. Case 14
  • SKU lacks size table: One of the main images of cloth and shoes SKU needs a correct size table. Case 15

7. Brand issues

  • Wrong brand: Please deliver the item with correct brand. Case 16
  • No brand logo on the item: Packaging or items should show brand/logo. Case 17

8. Damaged item

  • Please deliver the intact item. Case 18

9. Wrong packing

  • Please deliver the items with correct packaging. Case 19

10. Prohibit

  • Please check all similar SKUs in the shop, delist them immediately, and retrieve those that are being shipped

IV. How to Check QC Interception

1. View emails sent by the system

Once the package is intercepted, the system sends a prompt email to the registered email of the shop. The email template is as follows:

Email subject:

English-speaking countries: Your failed Quality Check report

French-speaking countries: Vos produits n'ont pas passé le contrôle qualité

Arabic-speaking countries: تحصيل غرامة المنتجات المرفوضة في الفحص الفني يوم الجمع

2. Last QC Failed Attempts below SC order details

V. Impact & Remedy of QC Interception

  1. Impact: After QC failed. If replacement is not made within the time limit, the order will be cancelled as OOS. It will affect the store's cancellation rate and seller score.
  2. Remedy: Redeliver the package to SEKO Dongguan/Yiwu warehouse within the time limit (ensure that the items are qualified and intact).
  3. If there is any doubt or objection to the QC interception email, please RAC immediately.
